Joe Karaganis is the director of Open Syllabus, a non-profit organization that maps the curriculum of higher education.
Past work includes the Civic Assembly — an experiment in large-scale deliberative polling; Shadow Libraries: Access to Knowledge in Global Higher Education (MIT 2018); and Media Piracy in Emerging Economies (SSRC 2011).
Previously, Karaganis was vice president of The American Assembly, a public policy institute at Columbia University, and, prior to that, a Program Director at the Social Science Research Council.
